Informational Interviewing for Networking Successfully

What is an Informational Interview and Why Should I Care?

An informational interview is an underutilized strategy in the job search process and typically comes about because of successful networking opportunities.

Learn how to use informational interviewing to connect with people you are interested in learning more about who work at companies and industries of significance. Gather information about ways to become more successful in your current occupation or brand new field, while discovering another person's unique career path.

Key takeaways:

  • Learn the purposes and benefits of informational interviewing
  • Discover how to find people to interview and request an informational interview
  • Uncover how to prepare for, conduct and follow-up after the informational interview
